Mawaru Made in Wario on GBA, the WarioWare with a built-in cartridge gyroscope. Tilt the GBA to play, unique revolutionary concept. Even crazier and more inventive than the classic edition. An absolute must.

Description
Japanese version of the WarioWare micro-game compilation, developed and published by Nintendo in Japan in March 2003. Wario presents dozens of frantic five-second mini-games covering every imaginable genre chained at breakneck speed. Addictive gameplay based on reactivity, stage bosses and the off-beat humor typical of Wario. First edition of the WarioWare series, catalogued under an alternate entry alongside the same release.

Ever more unhinged, this entry keeps its patchwork of zany styles while playing on the rotation of the console. Raw pixels, absurd collages and frenzied animation chain together at a mad pace. This anarchic, hilarious graphic extravagance extends the series' inimitable identity.

Japanese edition of WarioWare Twisted, released under the Mawaru Made in Wario title, whose cartridge carries a physical gyroscope sensor inside the shell, a unique hardware signature in the Nintendo R&D1 catalogue. The game was never officially distributed in Europe because of the integrated mercury battery, which makes the JP version the only physical entry point for the PAL market and explains its particularly firm price over the past twenty years.

Is Mawaru - Made in Wario still worth playing in 2026?

Mawaru Made in Wario, or WarioWare Twisted, never made it to Europe, most likely because of the gyroscope built into its cartridge. The concept turns everything into rotation of the GBA, and the result is still one of the most singular WarioWare ever produced. The microgames breathe a rare tactile freshness, and the cartridge itself includes an expansion board packed with bonus content. A prized collector piece for anyone fond of out of the ordinary experiences and the Wario team's inventiveness.
