Medal of Honor transporting the franchise to the Asia-Pacific theatre of World War II. Jungle and Pacific island battles are well rendered. Less emotionally impactful than Omaha Beach but offering a different historical setting appreciated by genre fans.

Description
An EA Los Angeles WWII FPS released in 2003 (Asia, US, Europe, Germany, Australia, Korea, Japan, Sweden, Denmark, Spain) that takes the franchise to the Pacific theater. Pearl Harbor as the opening mission, then combat in Singapore, Burma and Malaysia. Two-player co-op, but a slightly cooler reception than the European entries.

Is Medal of Honor - Rising Sun still worth playing in 2026?

A first person shooter from EA, Medal of Honor - Rising Sun transports the player to the Pacific theatre during World War II, where you play an American soldier from Pearl Harbor to the Burmese jungles, through scripted missions of cinematic sweep. The atmosphere of the Pacific front, the spectacular staging and the fidelity to the conflict appeal to fans of war FPS. The very directive structure and a dated production bound the ambition. For a fan of military FPS or a World War II enthusiast, the title keeps a preserved intensity and atmosphere, in a dated edition.
