Story
"Anecdotal"
The three original instalments are entirely redrawn for the machine: enlarged sprites, gradients on the armour, scenery enriched with extra planes and animated details. The blue hero keeps his exact silhouette, but every enemy robot gains volume and relief compared with its earlier versions.

Collector interest

Mega Man The Wily Wars PAL is the European edition of the Capcom game bundling Mega Man 1, 2 and 3 remastered on Megadrive. Its collector value is exceptional: the game was never officially released in box in the United States (only via Sega Channel), making the PAL version the only official Western pressing of this Sega Mega Man compilation.

Is Mega Man - The Wily Wars still worth playing in 2026?

A Mega Drive compilation gathering the first three NES Mega Man games remastered in 16 bits with improved graphics and reworked soundtrack, by Minakuchi Engineering for Capcom. The bonus Wily Tower adds new stages. For anyone fond of classic Mega Man or wishing to rediscover the three founding entries in a particularly polished version, an absolutely essential recommendation today still on Mega Drive without the slightest hesitation for demanding platform genre fans truly here indeed.
