Story
"Anecdotal"
The game offers a helicopter and a jeep on the same overhead terrain, which requires every piece of scenery to be drawn for two uses: flyable for one, drivable for the other. The military zones, bridges, forests and bases are therefore organised in distinct layers, with cast shadows that clearly separate the altitudes.

Is Mega SWIV still worth playing in 2026?

A vertical shooter from Storm, Mega SWIV has you pilot either a helicopter or an armoured vehicle against a deluge of ground and air enemies, in a snappy, cooperative scroll. The distinction between the two machines, the steady action and the two player play bring a real identity to classic vertical shooting. The polished production and the frantic pace appeal. For a fan of retro shmups or someone nostalgic for the SWIV series, the title keeps an intense arcade pleasure, especially in co op.
