Codemasters tiny-car racing. Far-away view across household settings (desk, kitchen, etc.), local multi up to eight players. Decent execution but less iconic than the N64 Micro Machines. Pleasant in quick multi.

Is Micro Machines still worth playing in 2026?

The premise of racing tiny cars across kitchen tables and breakfast counters still has its charm, and four-player split-screen makes for decent chaotic couch sessions. But this GameCube outing feels rushed next to 2003's competition: loose handling, erratic AI, thin content. The series has produced far stronger entries. Today you are better off revisiting the punchier, better-built 16-bit originals. One for nostalgic onlookers only.
