Collector interest

A top-down miniature-car race that became a benchmark of convivial multiplayer on kitchen tables and other everyday settings. Still very common, it owes its interest to its ever-effective party-racing formula rather than scarcity. A convivial, affordable piece for anyone wanting to rediscover a pillar of 32-bit-era multiplayer.

Better with friends

A bird's-eye miniature racer of convivial genius, where you can even share a pad to play with more people than plugged-in controllers. The competition tips into joyful chaos: repurposed settings, shortcuts and collisions trigger bursts of laughter and chain paybacks. Immediate and madly accessible, it turns any evening into a party where everyone wants their revenge on the racetrack.

Is Micro Machines V3 still worth playing in 2026?

Micro Machines V3 is one of the best miniature racing games ever made. Tracks on kitchen tables, bathrooms and other domestic environments with tiny vehicles, Codemasters's title offers up to eight-player multiplayer on a single screen, a feat in 1997. Intuitive controls, constant visual humour and high replay value. An absolute classic today.
