A fourth SCE San Diego Studio entry released in 2009 (US only), extending the formula with the 2009 MLB season. New "Pulse Pitching" for pitching, a reworked career mode and cosmetic updates. The PS2 version is starting to be technically eclipsed by the PS3 one, but remains solid on the console.
Complete: box, manual and disc/cart very clean. Lightly handled.

A new iteration of Sony San Diego's baseball simulation, MLB 09 The Show enriches the Road to the Show mode, adds post game analysis and further refines the precision of the pitcher batter duel. The fidelity to the sport, the wealth of modes and the stadium atmosphere make it one of the series' peaks on PS2. The incremental progression and the baseball barrier outside America stay its limits. An excellent simulation to recommend for fans of baseball and deep, realistic American sport.
