Description
A fifth SCE San Diego Studio entry released in 2010 (US, Korea), extending the formula with the 2010 MLB season. Even richer broadcast presentation, an expanded Road to the Show mode and compatibility with older career files. The penultimate MLB - The Show on PS2 before the full transition to PS3.
The Korean edition of MLB 10 - The Show, a late release of Sony's flagship simulation on a winding-down PS2, when the series already shone on the next generation. Keeping a PS2 version for the Korean market was support for a residual installed base, hence a very small run. Desirability rests on this heightened scarcity of an end-of-life entry and on its standing as a witness to the console's longevity in Korea.
Is MLB 10 - The Show still worth playing in 2026?
A late entry in Sony San Diego's baseball simulation on PS2, MLB 10 The Show keeps the series' depth, its precise pitcher batter duel and its fleshed out career mode, while relying on a frozen engine against the new generation versions. The fidelity to the sport and the wealth of modes stay enjoyable for fans. The production clearly shows its age on the console. A solid simulation to recommend for baseball fans still playing on PS2 and lovers of realistic American sport.
