Fourth Monster Rancher with the monster generation mechanic using CDs or DVDs. The breeding, training and competition system is deep and addictive. A solid niche title for franchise fans who appreciate this creature simulation sub-genre on PS2.

A questionable morality

Raising gentle monsters conjured from mysterious discs feels harmless, until you notice the cycle: you train them hard, send them into battle, then watch them age and bow out before starting over with the next one. Behind the on-display affection hides a pragmatic breeder who manages his charges like a succession of athletic careers.
