This version pushes the art of the variant. From one and the same skeleton, the artists change the colour of the scales, add a horn, thicken a carapace, alter the gait, and obtain a creature that reads immediately as kin to the previous one while demanding a different reading in combat. It is a lesson in graphic economy, where very few changes produce a great deal of meaning.
Silence here occupies a place few games grant it. A short victory fanfare greets the end of the hunt, then everything falls quiet during the carving: no more percussion, no more strings, only the sounds of the blade and the wind. That void of several minutes, imposed after a bravura piece, brings the tension down and gives the ritual an unexpected gravity.
