The hero is animated from traced live footage, which gives his run, jumps and falls a weight unusual for the machine. The cutscenes adopt cinematic framing, close shots and fades, and the gothic scenery, manor, laboratory, vaults, works through dark, coherent palettes.
The writing favours constructed, melodic themes with rich harmonic progressions accompanying the game's narrative dimension. The cutscene pieces adopt slower, graver writing, and the level themes keep a singing line despite the permanent tension of the run.
Complete: box, manual and disc/cart very clean. Lightly handled.
