Collector interest

A cult Japanese anti-RPG that subverts the genre's codes by inviting you to save monsters rather than slay them, in a tender, offbeat world. Never localized at the time, it became an underground reference cited for its influence on a generation of indie creators. Its local scarcity and aura as a founding work support a value sought by knowing enthusiasts.

An underrated gem

An anti-RPG ahead of its time, it invites you to repair the damage done by the "hero" by harvesting the love of the creatures you were supposed to fight, in a tender and mischievous world. Long trapped in Japan before a late localization, it stayed unknown to players of the era. Its offbeat premise and its gentleness make it an unforgettable experience for the curious.

Is Moon - Remix RPG Adventure still worth playing in 2026?

Moon - Remix RPG Adventure is a unique Japanese anti-RPG by Love-de-Lic where the player helps living beings instead of fighting them. A gentle, poetic critique of JRPG conventions, the title asks players to collect souls of animals killed by the traditional hero to free them. The stop-motion 2D-3D mixed art is inimitable, the writing full of meta humour. Long Japan-only before Onion Games's Switch translation. An absolute cult peak today.
