Believable urban modeling, shifting weather and an elegant interface form a realistic, composed aesthetic, forerunner to Project Gotham Racing. A striking urban look.
From the pen of Richard Jacques, in-game radios distil hushed jazz, lounge and stylish grooves across the world's great cities. The music marries the elegance of the driving, turning every race into a chic cruise. This sonic refinement, rare in the racing game, already heralded the class of the Project Gotham series.
The initial PAL pressing of Metropolis Street Racer is the launch edition, predating Sega's fixes. Collector value comes from the title's historical position as Bizarre Creations's first project, the seed of the Project Gotham Racing philosophy on Xbox, and from initial-pressing copies being identifiable through the back-of-case serial code.
