Mugen Senshi Valis adapts the Telenet series on Japanese Tokuma Shoten Famicom with high schooler Yuko transformed into a magical warrior to save the Valis world. The representation chains platform and fixed pattern combat with sword and spells in a Japanese mecha fantasy anime license formula. Without western release, curiosity for Famicom anime fans in the 8 bit Tokuma production vein.

A Famicom port of Valis, the schoolgirl-led action platformer born on Japanese home computers and later popularized on PC Engine CD. This cartridge version published by Tokuma Shoten remains one of the few appearances of heroine Yuko on Nintendo 8-bit hardware, and stayed exclusively Japanese. Its appeal lies in this cross-platform curiosity and the founding role of the entry in a franchise better known elsewhere.
