Musou Orochi sequel with more developed storyline and additional characters from both franchises. Musou game mechanics are refined and roster even more generous. The recommended version for Koei fans wanting the most complete Warriors Orochi experience on PS2.

Collector interest

A direct sequel to Musou Orochi, subtitled Maou Sairin, it further expands the roster with characters from other Koei series and introduces the TRINITY team combo system. The Japanese and Asian edition is the original cut of this expansion of the musou crossover. Its collecting interest targets sub-series fans and collectors of source versions, the desirability resting on the game's increased scope and its regional distribution.

Is Musou Orochi - Maou Sairin still worth playing in 2026?

A mass action game from Omega Force, Musou Orochi - Maou Sairin, known in the West as Warriors Orochi 2, extends the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors musou crossover with new characters, fresh modes, including a duel and survival mode, and an even broader roster pitting the warriors against entire armies. The increased generosity of the cast, the new modes and the interchangeable team system appeal to musou fans. The repetitiveness inherent to the genre remains. For a musou fan or a fan of historical crossover, the title keeps a preserved generosity and snappiness, in a dated edition.
