Fourth Japanese entry, never released abroad. More modes, more characters and even deeper tactics. Importers only, arguably the absolute peak of the Clash of Ninja formula on GameCube.

Is Naruto - Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 4 still worth playing in 2026?

The fourth entry in Eighting's fighting series, Gekitou Ninja Taisen! 4 remains one of the high points of GameCube Naruto games. The snappy, readable 2D combat packed with flashy jutsu still lands, and the added Sasuke and Akatsuki arc characters nicely flesh out the roster. Japan-only, so it takes a little effort for non-readers, but it rewards anime fans and versus enthusiasts with gameplay that holds up beautifully. A genre safe bet.
