Ninja Storm 3 goes further with the ninja war as a backdrop and large-scale battles that stay particularly striking. Naruto and Sasuke have never been more expressive, the anime score delights, and the combat remains one of the sub-saga's most gleeful.

Cel-shading of stunning faithfulness to Kishimoto's manga, spectacular jutsus and destructible arenas: the anime seems playable frame by frame. The crisp outlines and flamboyant effects restore all the energy of the fights. This graphic virtuosity from CyberConnect2 stands as a benchmark of adaptation.
The Japanese soundtrack makes room for the television series' opening songs, tracks by Japanese rock bands placed at chapter openings as in a weekly broadcast. The rest draws on the repertoire of character themes, each recognizable within two bars, and immediate recognition takes the place of surprise here.
The Japanese adventure mode turns the confrontation with Kurama into inner work: the meeting takes place in the mental space of the seal, where you talk more than you strike, and the hatred the fox has accumulated becomes a character to convince rather than a monster to fell. Few manga adaptations dare to slow down this much at the climax.
