NBA Live 06 on original Xbox, solid EA Sports simulation. Good franchise mode and accessible gameplay. Not at NBA 2K's level at the same time but remains a viable option.

The 2006 entry in EA Sports' simulation, NBA Live 06 introduces the Freestyle Superstars system that gives each star signature abilities, to better reflect the talent of the greats. The still deep Dynasty mode and the polished presentation stay appreciable for NBA fans. The stiffness of some animations and modest progress over the previous entry temper the enthusiasm. A good basketball simulation for NBA enthusiasts and lovers of management sports on the original Xbox.
