A classic NBA Live SNES, more realistic than NBA Jam, playable and smooth. Dated today but pleasant for 16 bit basketball.

Is NBA Live 95 still worth playing in 2026?

The first NBA Live on the console, laying the foundations of a five-on-five basketball simulation more serious than the arcade games, with licensed teams and statistics. The tactical approach and readable court were valuable at the time, but stiff animation and relative slowness have aged poorly against current standards. Players return mainly for historical interest in the EA franchise. A dated sim, more for the retro-sport curious than the demanding player.
