This GameCube cut of Hot Pursuit 2 revives the iconic duel between luxury supercars and the police hot on their tail. The sense of speed and the chases retain genuine instant thrill, carried by a handsome lineup of licensed cars. The arcade handling lacks depth, though, and the police AI has aged against later NFS entries. For an arcade-racing fan or someone nostalgic for the early 2000s, the experience stays fun, even if it can't match today's standards in polish or variety.
