Need for Speed - Underground (Xbox) price, value & rarity
Need for Speed Underground, which relaunched the series around nocturnal tuning culture and was a huge success. Ordinary in the West, it becomes sought after in its Asian edition, pressed for a small Xbox market. The appeal blends the near-cult status of this founding tuning entry with the scarcity of this regional version.
Is Need for Speed - Underground still worth playing in 2026?
A major turning point for the EA series, Need for Speed Underground shifts into nocturnal street racing and tuning culture, with deep car customisation and a neon mood inspired by street cinema. The sense of speed, the depth of the customisation and the electro rock soundtrack marked a whole generation. The arcade driving and the absence of free roaming barely temper the enthusiasm. An excellent racing game for fans of tuning, night runs and the early 2000s street racing spirit.
