Is NHL 06 still worth playing in 2026?

NHL 06 introduced Skill Stick controls and an ambitious dynasty mode that gave it its charm at the time. Today the title feels stiff and technically dated, far from the polish of current hockey sims. The four-player local multiplayer keeps some flavor among friends, but without particular attachment to this edition, recent entries are the better bet. The appeal is mainly historical for fans of the series.
