Is NHL Hitz 2002 still worth playing in 2026?

This Midway arcade hockey threw the rulebook out the window with 3-on-3 matches, over-the-top body checks and a turbo gauge. Back then it was a fun party brawler, even if the depth stayed thin. Today the arcade concept keeps a certain retro charm, and the local multiplayer still lands for a quick game among friends. The limited content and lack of any simulation, however, show their limits fast in solo play. A likeable curiosity for fans of unapologetic arcade sports from the early 2000s.
