Collector interest

A remake of the second Ninja Gaiden, more accessible and controversial for its concessions against the original, but rich in added content. Printed widely, it stays common and lightly priced, without scarcity. Its collector interest is modest, a divisive entry of a renowned action series, sought mainly by fans wanting the complete PS3 version rather than for underlying value.

Memorable bosses

More spectacular still, this rendition lines up outsized clashes, from a titanic worm bursting through rubble to repeated duels of honor against the samurai Genshin. Combat stays built on flawless dodging and slicing combos, but opens up to more staging. Between striking rivalries and gigantic bosses, the intensity never wanes, for a challenge more readable than before.

Is Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 still worth playing in 2026?

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is the enriched PS3 version of Ninja Gaiden II, adding online co-op and making Rachel, Ayane and Momiji playable. The action, even more frenzied and excessive than in the first Sigma, multiplies spectacular dismemberments and titanic bosses, for an outlet of rare intensity. The demanding gameplay rewards mastery of combos and dodges. This version revises certain controversial aspects of the Xbox release, such as the gore and the difficulty. A few balancing choices divide purists. But for the fan of brisk, brutal action, this title remains a safe bet.
