On the Neo Geo CD it offered at an affordable price a fight whose AES cartridge stays sought and pricey. Its desirability rests on the technical reputation of this late ADK title and the access the disc gave, prized by fans of the house's fighting games on the format.
An underrated gem
Being able to switch on the fly between armed and bare-handed combat gives this fighting game a snappiness and depth that few SNK titles match. Left in the shadow of Samurai Shodown, it never got the attention it deserved. Fans of fast, technical versus should seriously take a look.
