A Natsume Ninja Warriors very different from the arcade, a SNES brawler peak. Weighty, tense, stunning animations, essential.

A masterpiece by the Zuntata studio, the music blends rock, electro and ethnic accents with a striking virtuosity, from the legendary "Daddy Mulk" to the most intense themes. Each level pulses with a cinematic energy that transcends the beat-'em-up. This cult soundtrack is hailed as one of the finest on the SNES.

Collector interest

A 1994 US SNES Taito release, a North-American-exclusive beat'em up under this spelling. The US cart was distributed in very limited quantities and stands as one of the rarest US Taito SNES titles. Boxed CIB in an intact box with manual has become a grail for US Taito SNES collectors, and graded sealed prices climb hard, sustained by extreme physical scarcity and by the cult aura of the Ninjawarriors arcade from which this port descends.

Better with friends

Side-scrolling action of rare intensity, where cyborgs carve through enemy hordes across a spectacular staging. Without a true simultaneous mode, it shines most as a relay among friends: you pass the pad to tackle the toughest stretches and admire each other's feats. Demanding and heady, it turns an evening into a collective challenge where everyone wants to set the best run.

Is Ninjawarriors still worth playing in 2026?

Ninjawarriors, also released as Ninjawarriors The New Generation and Ninjawarriors Again, is a Natsume beat them up with a methodical pace, namely three ninja cyborgs progressing slowly through dystopian Taito backdrops. The knife throwing and combo chains are surprisingly demanding for the genre. The soundtrack is among the most powerful on the system. Recommended to fans of atmospheric beat them ups and to anyone curious about a very inspired Natsume production, technique included.
