Is Open Season still worth playing in 2026?

An adaptation of the Sony animated film, this platformer runs through a dozen forest levels without a spark. Mushy controls, dodgy camera, generic level design and forgettable mini-games: it all reeks of a tie-in built for the kids' aisle. With one of the lowest contemporary scores here, the verdict allows no nuance: it was weak at launch and has gained nothing since. Skip it, unless you collect licensed games out of curiosity.
