Bouncy arcade racing with light tuning bits and cheerful tracks. A sunny little treat with bright colours. Not a must but very pleasant to race through.

The circuits are drawn to be destroyed: barriers that give way, signs torn off, hay bales scattered, all elements that remain on the ground after you pass and change the look of the layout on the next lap. The five available vehicles have bodies distinct enough to be recognised from above, from the squat buggy to the tapered racer.
Complete: box, manual and disc/cart very clean. Lightly handled.

ADK Japanese May 1996 edition of the Neo Geo CD port of OverTop, an off-road racer signed by ADK whose arcade version remains one of the hardest to emulate correctly. The Japanese CD cartridge offers detailed replays in a race-intro replay mode, a CD-specific feature absent from the MVS board. Desirability rests on the absolute rarity of the arcade-racing genre on Neo Geo CD and on a short Japanese run against a restricted ADK CD audience.
Is OverTop still worth playing in 2026?
OverTop is an SNK arcade racer from ADK, sitting somewhere between Top Gear and Rally. Top-down with varied circuits, picturesque cars and progressive upgrades, it is an atypical racer on the Neo Geo that prizes immediate fun. The presentation is colourful and the CD soundtrack adds welcome value. On Neo Geo CD, loading stays reasonable. Without challenging modern benchmarks, it keeps real personality. For retro top-down racing fans and curious Neo Geo cataloguers, still a friendly detour to explore today.
