Paperboy brings Atari's cult arcade game to NES, in which a paper deliverer on a bike distributes newspapers across a neighborhood while avoiding a myriad of wacky obstacles in an isometric view. The original concept, the timing of the throws and the humor of the situations stay endearing, in a surprisingly demanding challenge. The peculiar handling and repetition betray the era. For fans of atypical retro arcade and old-school skill challenge, it is a charming curiosity with a unique central idea, pleasant in short sessions.
