Phantasy Star Universe offers a generous sci-fi universe and a decent solo campaign. The online side is long gone, but the main quest still makes for a likeable space trip.

Description
A Sega and Sonic Team MMORPG released in 2006 (US, Japan, Europe), the first brick of the new Phantasy Star era on PS2. The Gurhal universe in 3D, hunter/force/ranger classes and online mode with dedicated servers. A mixed reception at launch, but a solid base for the expansions to come.
