Special Pikachu Edition in French, released April 2000 and the first Francophone Pokemon to make full use of the Game Boy Color palette. The French manual stabilised, for the first time, the evolution vocabulary and signature moves that Rouge and Bleue still left partly in flux. Shorter run than the 1999 twins, and the translucent yellow cartridge paired with a French sleeve is scarcer than in the English speaking belt.
