Pop'n Music 11 grows the songbook with broader styles and meatier challenges. Still gorgeously colorful and a great way to try the rainbow buttons without pressure.

Description
A Konami rhythm game released in 2005 in Japan, the eleventh PS2 entry in Pop'n Music. Same 9 button mashing mechanics and same cute eurobeat/J-pop soundtrack as previous entries, with a renewed setlist of around 50 new tracks and new mascot characters. A Japan exclusive niche.

Story
"Anecdotal"
Motley and joyful, the selection draws on J-pop, anime and a thousand genres to have you tap coloured buttons in time. Each track has its own tempo and personality, rewarding precision with a sparkling energy. This musical melting pot, a pillar of Konami's rhythm games, remains irresistibly rousing.

Is Pop'n Music 11 still worth playing in 2026?

An entry in Konami's rhythm series, Pop'n Music 11 further enriches the musical palette and the character gallery while keeping the clear principle of nine colourful buttons to chain to the tempo. The diversity of the tracklist, the readability and the satisfaction of the combo remain the game's strengths, ideally with the dedicated controller. The reliance on the peripheral, incremental novelties and the Japan exclusivity limit access. A festive rhythm game to recommend for fans of musical scoring and Japanese arcade pop.
