Konami's Pop'n TwinBee on Game Boy. Colorful vertical shooter (as colorful as monochrome allows), TwinBee/WinBee ships, ground bombs and air shots. The TwinBee franchise loses some of its color sparkle here, but the snappy gameplay remains. Pleasant, nothing more, minor for cute-em-up fans.

Collector interest

A portable spin-off of a TwinBee saga best known on MSX, Famicom and Japanese arcades, this vertical Konami shooter reached Europe in smaller numbers than the publisher's flagship licences. Its appeal rests on the series' standing in the Japanese cute-em-up canon, long absent from Western shelves. The PAL cart mainly draws the collector building a non-Japanese TwinBee set, a corner where the title stays quiet and rarely turns up in later compilations.
