Prince Pietro sets out to save the world in a European release that sadly flew under the radar. The gentle fantasy flair, pastel visuals and turn-based combat deliver a familiar, soothing JRPG; a pity it stays forgotten.

Is PoPoLoCrois still worth playing in 2026?

A fantasy RPG from Sony, PoPoLoCrois follows young prince Pietro off to save the world with his friends, in a turn-based adventure with warm art direction, adapted from the manga and anime. The tender charm of the story, the colorful world and the classic progression make it an endearing, accessible JRPG, faithful to the series' spirit. The presentation stays modest and the formula unsurprising. A nice pick for fans of gentle JRPG and coming-of-age tales on PSP.
