Populous brings Bullfrog's divine strategy game to Game Boy, where you shape the terrain to grow your people and crush the rival god's. The conversion keeps the founding god-game concept, but readability suffers from the small screen and the clunky controls, which weigh down an already demanding title. Rare and sought after by collectors, it is worth it mainly for its historical interest and the curiosity of a genre rarely adapted to the handheld, more than for its present-day comfort of play.
