Prince of Persia adapts the Jordan Mechner cinematic hit to Mega Drive with its prince exploring a trap filled Persian palace. The conversion keeps the fluid animation and Arabian Nights atmosphere of the original in a demanding platform adventure. Excellent for 16 bit adventure fans, classic of the cinematic genre.

Collector interest

Domark's Mega Drive port of Jordan Mechner's classic, the European version of a title whose rotoscoped animation had defined home computers. The 16-bit conversion stays competent without matching the SNES or PC benchmarks, which keeps values modest. Interest is mainly heritage-driven, tied to Prince of Persia's place in the history of cinematic platforming rather than to any scarcity of the PAL cartridge, which is fairly common.
