Colourful platformer with Putty the elastic rubber character. Nostalgic game for Amiga fans. Accessible but not memorable. For collectors of retro platformers on Vita.

Is Putty Squad still worth playing in 2026?

A platform game from System 3, Putty Squad revives a 1990s mascot, an elastic putty ball able to stretch, absorb enemies and deform to cross colourful levels packed with secrets. The inventiveness of the deformation mechanics, the cartoon spirit and the retro charm appeal to the nostalgic. The modest production and a sometimes confused level design betray a limited budget. For a fan of old school platforming or someone nostalgic for the mascots' golden age, the title keeps a preserved originality and charm, in a production without great ambition.
