Is Puyo Puyo Fever still worth playing in 2026?

A landmark renewal of the series, Puyo Pop Fever introduces the Fever mechanic: filling a gauge triggers a cascade of preset Puyos, offering spectacular chains accessible even to newcomers. This system rebalances the versus and energises the classic formula, without sacrificing its depth. The colourful, zany art direction, with its new characters, refreshes the whole. For a fan of competitive puzzling, a newcomer intimidated by the genre or a Puyo fan, the title keeps a remarkable dynamism and accessibility.
