Is Puzzle Bobble 4 still worth playing in 2026?
Puzzle Bobble 4 brings Taito's famous puzzler to Game Boy Color, where you aim and stick colored bubbles to pop them in groups of three. The concept stays crystal-clear and fearsomely addictive, and the versus mode offers tense two-player duels. The conversion, however, shows visual comfort limited by the small screen and a lackluster presentation next to the home versions. For fans of arcade puzzlers and quick challenge, it does the job pleasantly, without standing out as the series' best iteration.
