3D reboot of the Q-bert arcade classic with cube hopping and basic puzzles. Pleasant cartoon presentation and repetitive mechanics. A modest tribute that doesn't match the original.

Is Q-bert still worth playing in 2026?

A reworking of the 1982 arcade classic, this Q-bert keeps the principle of colouring each tile of an isometric pyramid by hopping while dodging stubborn foes. The concept stays clever and oddly gripping, but the port suffers from dispensable additions and a modest production. The old school difficulty will please purists more than players used to modern comfort. For a fan nostalgic for the original arcade game or someone curious about genre classics, the title keeps a limited yet real appeal.
