Is Raiden Project still worth playing in 2026?

A Seibu Kaihatsu compilation gathering the ports of the first two Raiden games, this collection offers a concentrated dose of old fashioned vertical shoot them up, demanding and snappy. The barrage of fire, the iconic power-ups between winding laser and homing missiles, and the merciless difficulty reward memorisation and mastery. The production stays faithful to the cabinets, without modern frills. A vertical arcade classic to recommend for fans of old school shmups and scoring under pressure.
