An annual Rampage follow-up with new cities and new monsters, including Myukus the Martian. The recipe stays the same: demolish, grab pedestrians, eat anything that moves. More of the same, so quicker to tire of in solo, but the three-player mode is still a festive vent.

Collector interest

The annual Rampage sequel in its Europe edition, and this is the version that drives prices wild: a tiny late-1999 PAL print run on a fading N64 losing ground to PlayStation. Complete and especially sealed copies reach heights rarely seen for so unremarkable a game. PAL territorial scarcity dictates the entire value here, far beyond the play merit of this rehash.

A questionable morality

A delightful reversal: this time the giant monster flattening the city and gobbling up its residents is you. You scale the skyscrapers, reduce them to rubble and munch a few panicked passersby along the way, all in the cheeriest of moods. Playing the disaster rather than fighting it has something jubilant about it, savored without the slightest pang of conscience.
