Midway arcade football, 2002 edition. 5-on-5 no mercy, fouls encouraged, rock soundtrack. Fun concept but mediocre execution, limited gameplay. Pleasant arcade FIFA alternative but far from the level needed to shine.

Is RedCard still worth playing in 2026?

Midway's over-the-top arcade football, RedCard tossed out the rules to favor brutal tackles and turbo. The sporting-blowout idea still works in short multiplayer bursts, but the shallow formula and repetition quickly sink solo interest. The licensed national squads add a slim draw. It is a purely fleeting bit of fun, best saved for fans of unfiltered arcade sports and improvised get-togethers.
