Is Reign of Fire still worth playing in 2026?

A rushed film tie-in, Reign of Fire is an action game against dragons whose execution frankly falls short. Loose handling, limited AI and drab presentation drag down an otherwise promising idea of foot and vehicle combat. The title has aged very poorly and offers little anymore, even to fans of the film or the genre. Best avoided today, save for a collector's curiosity about the failed tie-ins of the early 2000s.
