Collector interest

Resistance 3, the conclusion of Insomniac's FPS saga, praised for its desperate mood and return to a more survival feel, the endpoint of a console-exclusive series. Still common, its collector interest is modest; the Asian pressing remains harder to find. An interesting piece for those completing the Resistance trilogy, whose desirability rests on its closing role rather than scarcity.

Better with friends

A first-person shooter with an inventive arsenal, whose multiplayer modes bet on crowded firefights and a strong collective sense. The competition rewards mastery of exotic weapons and team coordination, while a co-op strand reinforces camaraderie. Lacking split-screen for online and reliant on uncertain servers, it nonetheless keeps a strong identity and a snappy shooting joy.

Is Resistance 3 still worth playing in 2026?

Resistance 3 closes Insomniac's trilogy with a darker, more melancholy entry that reconnects with an atmospheric horror set aside by the previous one. Following Joseph Capelli in a devastated America subjugated by the Chimera, through a desperate journey, gives the narrative the saga's most mature tone. The creative arsenal, faithful to the series' hallmark, remains a pleasure, and the staging tends to its strong moments. The server shutdown deprives the title of its multiplayer. But the solo campaign, intense and poignant, offers a fitting conclusion, to discover for anyone who followed the saga.
