The western edition keeps the open town but reworks its dressing: signs in Latin characters, adjusted character outfits, enemy portraits redrawn for the dialogue screens. The stocky sprites keep their expressiveness, and impacts are underlined by onomatopoeia displayed large at the moment of the blow.
The themes are short and deliberately catchy, simple melodies carried by bass walking at a steady pace, suited to urban exploration that can last hours. Each district gets its motif, and the purchase and level-up jingles punctuate progress with immediate clarity.
