European PAL pressing of the PSP port of Riviera, rarer than the American version owing to reduced European distribution for this niche Sting RPG. The European disc completes the Western gallery of a cult title from the Dept. Heaven collection and is often the hardest piece to assemble for anyone gathering the game's editions. Desirability rests on that print imbalance in favor of PAL and on the series' aura.

An underrated gem

Far from the genre's conventions, this Atlus J-RPG ditches free exploration for a guided structure and a weapon system that wears down with use, disorienting but clever. Its atypical approach and static pace divided players. But its careful writing and retro charm will delight fans of RPGs off the beaten path.
