Collector interest

American version of the PSP port of Riviera, a Sting tactical RPG from the Dept. Heaven collection, published by Atlus, whose interaction-based exploration system departs from the genre's codes. Released in a limited run by Atlus USA, whose titles systematically become rare, it grew scarce after release. Desirability combines the Atlus imprint, the cult aura of Dept. Heaven and a real print scarcity, prized by collectors of PSP RPGs.

An underrated gem

Far from the genre's conventions, this Atlus J-RPG ditches free exploration for a guided structure and a weapon system that wears down with use, disorienting but clever. Its atypical approach and static pace divided players. But its careful writing and retro charm will delight fans of RPGs off the beaten path.
