With the slide now in play, dodging gains real fluidity against craftier guardians, from Doc Robots reviving old bosses to the mysterious Break Man blocking the way. The final colossus Gamma crowns a carefully built escalation. This added mobility and the return of revisited foes enrich an already proven formula without ever betraying it.

A PlayStation port of the third Mega Man, this entry introduces the slide and the robot dog Rush, two additions that lastingly enrich the series' action platforming formula. The eight Robot Masters, the tricky levels and the catchy soundtrack carry on Capcom's craft. A slightly uneven difficulty and a few loading times specific to this edition temper the whole. An excellent classic entry to recommend for fans of demanding action platforming and of the Mega Man saga.
