The Saboteur is an open world action game in Nazi-occupied Paris with Irish Sean Devlin. Striking black-and-white/colour art direction, sabotaging Nazi installations, intense resistance atmosphere. Underrated.

An occupied Paris rendered in black and white, where colour resurfaces with the hope of the resistance: contrast becomes a genuine narrative principle. This visual idea, audacious and inspired by film noir, turns liberation into a graphic metaphor. This art direction, dark and stylish, stands out for its originality.
An open world action game from Pandemic Studios, The Saboteur plunges an Irish mechanic into Second World War occupied Paris, where you sabotage the Nazi effort through stealth, driving and explosions. Its singular art direction, where colour returns to liberated districts while oppression stays in black and white, leaves a mark. The uneven production and a dated AI weigh it down. A good game for fans of open worlds, resistance and a strong visual identity on PS3.
